Kathmandu, Sept 26: National flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, has begun tender process for the purchase of two wide-body aircrafts on Monday.
An international tender notice has been published in a way to purchase aircrafts within next 18 months, said NAC Spokesperson Ramhari Sharma.
“A 45-day tender notice has been published for the purchase of two wide-body aircrafts. First we will purchase one within a year and next in another six months”, he added.
“The NAC is effortful to expand its service and quality”, Sharma further noted.
According to the NAC plan, it would purchase two airbus at the cost of Rs 25 billion. The procurement condition is it that each aircraft should have Rolls Royce Trent 772 B engine having flight hours less than 1000.
There shall be 250 to 280 seats in numbers in the aircraft as per the condition, the NAC sources said. RSS
